While Amazon Prime Day definitely failed us all, I still have lots to thank Amazon for.I just got the Amazon Prime Visa card. I thought a lot about what kind of credit card I should get to supplement my Chase Sapphire Reserve and decided I wanted a specific card for a place I shop at a lot rather than a travel or general cash back card. I needed a $0 annual fee card because I'm already paying $450 for my Reserve card (but I get $150 back in travel credit - for more on that click here). After ruling out the all the clothing stores (I can't incentivize myself to buy more clothes) I narrowed it down and ultimately decided on the prime card because I shop at Whole Foods and Amazon.This card has $0 annual fee which like I said was crucial for me and it earns 5% back on Amazon and Whole Foods (with an eligible prime account). Those are the only places I plan to use it but it also gets 2% back on restaurants, gas stations, and drug stores and 1% back on everything else.As an aside, I have to mention if you can't pay off your credit card IN FULL EVERY MONTH don't use your credit card and don't get another one!!!My other reason to be happy with Amazon these days is I'm a student again! I am eligible for a student prime account. I get Prime free for 6 months then half off after that. It was super easy to change my existing account to a prime account. pumped pumped pumped.Here are some things I purchase on Amazon that I highly recommend for those looking to ~save~ or ~splurge~.

I am a Sephora addict and don't buy much drugstore makeup these days but this is the exception. This mascara ROCKS. I have long but thin eyelashes that look like spider legs but this fills them out and makes them look even and beautiful. They say it is a dupe for Better Than Sex but I found that mascara to be super wet and goopy and this is way better. OBSESSED BUY IT!!!!!

This was my most successful Prime Day purchase. While not necessarily cheap, it's cheaper than most robot vacuums (robot vacuums is my favorite expression and I love that vacuums has two u's in a row lol) and it works so well! I was so grossed out by how much I took out of it the first time and that my friends is the sign of a good vacuum. Also YOU don't have to vacuum because you just turn it on and chill and let the vacuum vacuum! Say vacuum again.... VACUUM.

Alright disclaimer I have only used this twice because I just purchased it (after it was highly recommended) BUT I already see a difference so I had to include it. If you are like me and drink like a fish (water of course) and you are still buying plastic water bottles you can't reuse then you are throwing money out!! I don't drink coffee but I drink a ton of tea. I buy a tea for $2.50 and end up throwing out half because I forget to finish it before it is cold (if you have ever finished a cup of tea you deserve an olympic medal). SUCH A WASTE. I bought a Keurig travel mug and it is a gaaaame changer. Whatever is in it stays hot for hours. Like burning hot sometimes I have to take the lid off and let it cool off because it is too hot I can't drink it even though hours have past. Also, the top is dishwasher save so you don't have to worry about germs. Also also it doesn't spill ever. Buy it once and stop spending at the coffee shop!

And finally, speaking of tea, this is my FAVORITE. I know it is summer time but while the seasons change, my passion for this tea does not.
